Now Hiring: Contractor Sales Associate

Border City Building Centre (Home Hardware) is currently hiring an enthusiastic, team oriented, highly motivated Contractor Sales Associate in Lloydminster, AB.

  • Working primarily with private and commercial home builders you’ll make every effort to go above and beyond to provide prompt, courteous and efficient sales and service exceeding customer expectations
  • Your knowledge of all general building practices and local building codes/permits gives you the ability to accurately quote on all stages of home, farm and commercial construction
  • Being extremely attentive and organized allows you to forecast customer needs; material estimates are calculated efficiently and accurately and you excel at closing the sale
  • A positive, upbeat attitude is one of the driving forces behind your ambition and success
  • As a senior member of the sales team, you will be required to manage an existing list of accounts while building and executing an aggressive sales growth plan for added business from new clients and opportunities
  • You have a desire to continually develop your knowledge of lumber and building materials keeping up to date on new and enhanced technology
  • You are comfortable working with the Yard Manager to ensure product is delivered in a timely manner, developing and reviewing monthly/yearly sales budgets with the Contractor Sales Manager and doing all you can to enhance the effectiveness of the sales team

Requirements

  • 2-4 years related sales experience with the ability to maintain and grow customer base through prospecting, development, quoting and follow up
  • Lumber and building material product knowledge; able to present information and respond to questions from managers, co-workers and customers
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and prepare material take-off lists
  • Excellent track record of achieving or exceeding sales goals
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to conduct job site visits
  • Strong computer, independent thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Outstanding communication, negotiation and customer service skills

Remuneration

  • $60,000 – $120,000 per year plus a full benefit package after three months
